Ginny Hall sounds like Brandi Carlile and Brittany Howard started listening to a ton of Shannon and the Clams and moved to Austin. Powerful vocals and crunchy telecaster tones are contributed by Jamie McKenzie, founder of Warren Records (Austin) and former band leader of Pocket Full of Rye (San Francisco). Zhaques Tyler, formerly of Niel Nasset (Austin), contributes power punk drums while sultry bass is brought in by Joe Hilling, songwriter in his own right as HillCat and drummer of The Regulars, Lizzie Budin, and Andrew Savage. This power rock trio is gaining momentum as they bring some desert soul and east coast hauntings to the Austin indie rock + folk scene.
A soulful, roots rock family band with a smooth aftertaste of fuck the patriarchy.
